Delhi primarily has three seasons – summer, winter, and monsoon. However, it experiences hot and humid weather for most part of the year. Summer Season in Delhi:
The summer season in Delhi is between March and June. It is the time when the mercury rises up to 45℃, which means scorching sun and humidity. The average temperature in the summer months ranges from 35℃ to 40℃. Summers can make sightseeing in Delhi a bit difficult. However, the month of March is still pleasant and day sightseeing is still possible. The temperature starts to rise from April. In the peak summer months of May and June, it is recommended to choose to sight attractions that have an indoor space like museums.

Monsoon Season in Delhi:
The monsoon season in Delhi commences around mid-June and ends in September. Delhi receives little to moderate rain in monsoons. The temperature drops comparatively and stays between 25℃ and 35℃ but the humidity level rises to an extent of uncomfort.During the monsoon season, trips can be planned to Delhi. It is recommended to carry an umbrella and also check the weather forecast to plan the itinerary in a better way. 

Winter Season in Delhi:
The winter season in Delhi begins in October and continues till February. This period is considered the best time to visit Delhi. The temperature can go down to 0℃. The chilly winters however are perfect for sightseeing in the city. 

October and November are the months when the celebration of two important festivals in India, Dussehra and Diwali can be witnessed in Delhi. Even the Christmas and New Year celebration in the city are a must-see.
